Izzie Shmukler - Founder and Principal Consultant
Mr. Shmukler is an accomplished business owner and management consultant with extensive experience in risk management and operational leadership. He has worked across various industries, delivering value and creating people strategies aligned with business goals, including maritime, oil and gas, and infrastructure protection. His expertise encompasses counterterrorism, sensitive infrastructure security, and urban defence strategies, building on a foundational career in Navy special forces focusing on search and rescue missions.
Mr. Shmukler's extensive experience across various sectors and industries is awe-inspiring. His expertise spans supply chains, logistics, transport, oil refineries, national security and defence, mechanical, electrical, AC, refrigeration, civil engineering, facilities management, hospitality, health and aged care, higher education and RTOs, business consulting services, and construction. His diverse background has equipped him with a versatile skill set and a comprehensive set of tools he uses as part of IS Consulting. He aims to enhance, improve, and elevate business capabilities and capacity. With such a broad range of experience, Mr. Shmukler brings knowledge and expertise to his consulting services.
Mr. Shmukler acts as Principal Investigator and Workplace Relations Specialist, bringing deep expertise in employment law, WHS/OHS/EHS regulations, and worker compensation. His proficiency ensures compliance and strategic mitigation of legal risks across all operations. He leads thorough investigations into workplace issues such as policy and business conduct discrepancies, malpractice, incidents, accidents, workplace injury, bullying, discrimination, and harassment, upholding the highest workplace relations and ethical conduct standards. His legal knowledge complements his investigative abilities, making him a trusted leader in sensitive and complex workplace matters.
Mr. Shmukler has also obtained several professional certifications and qualifications in various fields. He is a Certified Professional Generalist OHS practitioner by the Australian Institute of Health and Safety and a Government-nominated WHSO: WHS officer. He is also a Certified ISO lead Auditor (OHS-MS, MS), Life and Business Coach, Certified RTW coordinator by WorkSafe VIC, and Certified Workplace Trainer and Assessor.
